I am primarily interested in the origins and consequences of different moral worldviews in the contemporary US and elsewhere. I am also committed to drawing on cognitive science to improve sociological theories of action. In addition to these main interests, I also dabble in many other areas such as religion, community, education, genetics, fuzzy-set methods, and whatever other subjects seem interesting. In general, my goal is to understand why people do the things they do rather than something else.
